Wing Chun Kung Fu

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Fundamentals)

VSCK Eskrima (Phillipino Sticks, Knives & Empty Hand)

Combat Fitness (Thai-style fitness class with heavy padwork)

Venue: Pinehaven Community Hall, 5a Forest Road, Pinehaven, Upper Hutt. 

Age: 12 years and upwards.

 

Fees:

Weekly or monthly fee covers all classes - train as much as you want.

  • Fees: $20/week or $80/month

  • Extra $5/wk for additional family members.

Wing Chun  

Wing Chun classes will take you through Sifu Dana Wong's Qian Li Dao syllabus. You can learn more about Sifu on our lineage page. We teach Foshan-style Wing Chun, with a number of Sifu's modified applications for the modern world. You'll start out slowly, developing speed and power over time and quickly learning to deflect, redirect and de-stablise opponents larger and stronger than yourself. 


 

BJJ Fundamentals 

These classes introduce the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu - you'll learn the core concepts of structure, grips, guard passing, sweeps and then submissions and counters. Although we change it up at times, a typical class is 20 mins learning technique, 20 mins testing it, and 20 mins free-rolling together. 

 

VSCK Eskrima - Phillipino Martial Arts

From 2023 we're privileged to open the first NZ School of VSCK Eskrima, under the supervision of Guro Mario Fernandez Quiroz. Guro Mario trained directly under the late Sonny Umpad. His approach adds powerful footwork and distance awareness training to the formiddable Phillipino art. It's a perfect complement to Wing Chun syllabus, and builds powerfully alongside our existing concepts from GM Bobby Taboada's Balintawak and GM Remy Presas' Modern Arnis systems.  

Combat Fitness

This is a fun, high-energy fitness blast - focusing on kick-boxing style fitness training and padwork as well as a range of high-intensity interval training techniques. We train to a shared Spotify play-list, so get your training song suggestions in as well!
